MESON
Centerpiece
Sinuosity, lightness and elegance are the three elements that characterize this centerpiece. The shape resumes that of a cloth, which under the weight of the fruit, or any object, flexes, creating a basin. The same effect is imitated thanks to the woodworking, which only a company like Riva 1920 is able to perform. A centerpiece was chosen because it is considered an object in line and concordant with the product classes of the company. In addition, the object can also be used as a pocket emptier, and be placed on a piece of furniture at the entrance to the house. Meson is designed to be entirely made of wood. The "legs" that support the structure are slightly inclined, and the plate that joins the two ends is curved. The lines are soft and rounded, almost creating a contrast between the usual characteristic of wood, which can be described as a hard, rigid material, and the softness and sinuosity of the shape. Finally, with Meson we tried to unite and reflect the style of Riva 1920, with a simple feasibility, which combines aesthetics and functionality.
